Our company was founded with a vision to create a tea brand that embodies the true adventure spirit of America!
Freedom Tea Co was founded by Joel David, out of Grand Rapids, Michigan.
After many years of working as a UPS driver, Joel’s knee’s were in bad shape. He had been told by doctors he had to undergo two different knee surgeries on both legs to repair damage.
About a year after his last surgery, he was injured on the job and hurt his back. He had to undergo long term physical therapy to help rehabilitate his back to functioning normal again.
With recommendations from his doctors, Joel was requested to stay in shape to help curb any pain.
Despite all this, Joel has made it his mission to help people get out and stay active.
We believe in the values of expression, creativity and adventuring to explore incredible things to do while making fantastic memories you can cherish forever.
We want to share those values with our customers through our powerful tea blends. We are proud to be American-owned and operated, and we strive to make a positive impact in our local communities.
Our inspiration comes from everyday people and the necessity of caffeine we all crave to get out and live our best life!

All of our blends are formed with a Matcha base.
Matcha being the more potent, big brother version of green tea.
